Obituary for Allivean Black Still
Allivean Black Still, 98, of Hilda went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday September 9, 2018 in the Hilda First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Mole Funeral Home in Barnwell SC.
Allivean was born in Hilda on October 20, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Anderson and Maggie Collins Black. She was a lifelong member of the Hilda First Baptist Church. She was a woman of strong faith. Allivean (known by her family as Granny) was a devoted homemaker, wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She loved the company of her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons Jimmie (Susan) Still and Larry (Jennifer) Still both of Hilda SC and her grandchildren Keith (Rachael) Still, Sheila Silon of Hilda, Rodney (Brittany) Still of Williston, Allyson (Bryan) Delk of Branchville, Renee’ (Don) Smith and Michael Still of Hilda. She had 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ervin and a great grandson Bailey. Granny will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Friends may call at other times at the home of Larry and Jennifer Still in Hilda.
The family would like to thank the MSA Hospice Organization and offer a special thanks to caregiver aid Michelle Thompson, Nurse Fran Cooke and Chaplain Riley Hammond for their compassion, friendship and skilled assistance.
