Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3 pm in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Great Salkehatchie Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
Survivors include his son, James W.(Beth) Blackwell Jr; sisters, Virginia (Billy) Clifton Denmark SC and Mollie (Vernon) Cheek of Barnwell SC; brothers, James R. (Doris) Sheffield Jr. of Hampton, Harry A.(Bobbie Jean) Sheffield of Cummings SC and Don E. (Nancy ) Polk of Bluffton SC., sister in law, Linda Sheffield; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Adrene Creech Blackwell, his son, Artie Blackwell and brother, Perry C. Sheffield.
