Obituary for Ocie Jeanette Jones
Ocie Jeanette Greene Jones, 85, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Pruitt Health Barnwell SC.
Mrs. Ocie was born on April 24, 1932 in Charlotte NC. She was a daughter of the late Ira Devona and Ocie McSwaine Greene. She was a retired employee with Barnwell School District 45 lunchroom program. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a kind and sweet lady who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2077 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Deer and Rev. Dale Hutto officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday at Calvary Baptist Church. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 8744 Marlboro Ave. Barnwell SC 29812.
Survivors include, her daughter and son in law, Debbie and Billy Dozier, son and daughter in law, Edwin and Jennifer Jones of Barnwell; daughter in law, Debra Jones of Williston; grandchildren, Edwin L.(Carly) Jones Jr., Amber Jones (Michael) Polk, Kelli Dozier (Trent) Howell, Michael (Jamie) Jones, James Arnold Jones; great grandchildren, Molly Jones, Cash Jones, Parker Howell, Peyton Howell, Piper Howell, Kipper Polk, Kullen Polk, Kamrie Polk and Avery Jones.
Mrs. Ocie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Steven C “Cal” Jones SR, her son, Steven C. Jones Jr, her granddaughter, Teresa Dozier, her twin brother, Ira Devona Greene Jr, and sisters, Virginia Monroe and Billie Faye Von Hugo.
