Obituary for Alice Myrtle Hartzog Wise
Mrs. Alice Myrtle Hartzog Wise, 86, widow of Newman "Buck" Wise, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2013 at the Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia SC. Mrs. Wise was born in Bamberg County on April 13, 1927. She was a daughter of the late Paul Henry and Alice Still Hartzog. She retired as an LPN at the Barnwell Co. Hospital with 26 plus years. She was a member of the Hilda Southern Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 3pm Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Hilda Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Ashley Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. She is survived by two sons, Richard Newman Wise and his wife Bertie Jane and Paul Franklin Wise and his wife Suzanne Colette; grandchildren Tammy Roff, Paul Newman Wise, Charles Wise, Lindsey Wise, Matthew Wise, Corey Wise, Catherine Wise, Erica Brant; great grandchildren, Christy Middour, Daniel Middour, Adam Roff, Zachary Roff, Reece Boore, Rory Boore, Max Wise and Kathy-Jane Wise; Nephews, Edgar and Denny Hartzog; niece, Connie Hartzog Peterson.
