Alphis Grubbs, 91, of Barnwell, SC passed away on November 13th, 2025. He was born on September 16th, 1934 to the late Laura Still Grubbs and Clyde Grubbs. He enjoyed fishing, loved grilling, and his favorite past time was watching old shows and gameshows on TV. He served in the SC National Guard and retired as a Lab Tech at Savannah River Site.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Grubbs Pullins (William) of Warrenville, SC, Susan Ann Barlet of Barnwell, SC, and Sarah L. Grubbs of Barnwell, SC; nine grandchildren; as well as seventeen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Stanley Grubbs; sons Tony Grubbs and John Grubbs; as well as his sister, Margie Tuten.
A visitation will be held at Mole Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with funeral services following in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Rev. Travis Morehead will be officiating. Graveside will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery near the Airport.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Barnwell First Baptist Church, 161 Allen St. Barnwell, SC 29812.
