Obituary for Annie Agnes "Dolly" Short
Annie Agnes “Dolly” Boyd Short, 98, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Dolly was born on July 4, 1919 in Augusta Georgia and was a daughter of the late Walton Saxon and Eva Bell Ferguson Boyd. She retired after 25 years from the Veterans Administration Canteen Service having worked in August and Decatur Georgia. She was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church. She was a member of The Young at Heart at First Baptist Church and the Busy Bees.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2 pm in the Westover Cemetery in Augusta Georgia with Rev. Billy Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-7:30 pm at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Eva Short Kimberly; sons Ernest Harvey Short Jr. and Gary Patrick Short; three granddaughters, Sandra J. Kimberly, Eva Marie Kumpf and Laura Short; grand sons, Larry Short, Jonathan Short, Nicholas Short and Joseph Short; four great grandchildren, Mollie Kumpf, Aiden Kumpf, Logan Kumpf and Sophia Short. She was predeceased by a son, Walton Alexander Short.
