Obituary for Barbara Givens Silon
Barbara Givens Silon, 79, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at her home in Barnwell.
Born in Columbia, SC on November 18, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clinton and Sarah Aline Givens. She was a member of Blackville First Baptist Church, she loved coaching youth softball as well as playing church softball. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the movies and spending time with them. She loved her cats and dogs. She was a very hard worker and loved everyone. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Blackville First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Barnwell County Animal Shelter. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Barbara s survived by her son, Clinton Ray Silon, daughters Judy Silon Walton and Elizabeth Silon Bozard, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Christina Walton, Thomas Alexander Silon, and Abby Nicole Silon, a great grandchild, Asia Isabella Walton, she is predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth Givens Craft and Judy Givens Thigpen.
