Obituary for Barbara Jane Terrapin
Barbara Jane Terrapin, born on June 25th, 1934 in Hilda, SC passed away on August 19th, 2025.
She was a loving mother and wife. Barbara and her husband, Francis Terrapin, were married on January 13th, 1952. They celebrated 73 years of marriage together. She worked at the Highway Patrol Office in Barnwell, SC as a paralegal, as well as a professional secretary at Ashworth Brothers in Greenville, SC.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Terrapin; four children John Chief Terrapin, Pamela Shoemaker, Micah Terrapin and Kim Courtney; as well as her seventeen grandchildren Madison Shoemaker, Kristen Terrapin, Aubrey Sherman, Chase Brown, Jacob Terrapin, Braddley Terrapin, Andrew Parker, Micah Courtney, Noah Parker, Isaac Parker, Aaron Parker, Daniel Terrapin, Matthew Terrapin, Gabi Terrapin, Hannah Terrapin, Mikey Terrapin and Nicole Terrapin.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 25th, 2025 at Double Pond Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM. Rev. Andy Sandifer will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
