Betty Still Croft, 94, of Barnwell, SC, and widow of Oneal Croft, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Betty was born on November 10, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Martin and Ella Still. Betty had the heart of a servant and found her calling as a care giver to children working in daycares and in her home for many years. Known to most as “Nanny Betty,” she loved nothing more than rocking babies, making sure their little bellies were full and that they had socks on their feet. She loved her family tremendously and looked forward to celebrations that they could all be together. She will be missed by her family and friends, but we rejoice in the knowledge that we will see her again.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Mount Lebanon Christian Church. Rev. Ron Franklin and Rev. Jeffrey Ray will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mount Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 268 Barnwell, SC 29812 or to a charity of one’s choice.
Survivors include Daughters, Harriett (Frankie) Creech of Barnwell, Kay (David) Summers of Branchville, SC and Son, Doug (Jodi) Croft of Barnwell; grandchildren, Branna (Nathan) Birt, Scott (Sheryl) Creech, Heather (Phillip) Williams, Megan (Richie) Peterson, and Chad Croft; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
