Obituary for Billy Fail
Olar SC Billy Fail, 76, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Monday at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm until the hour of service at the church. Billy was born in Barnwell County on August 17, 1937. He was the son of the late Woodrow Fail and Mary Baxley Harley. He was a US Navy and SC Army National Guard veteran. He was the retired owner of Fail's Backhoe Service and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Harley Fail of Olar; children, Linda Prater of Snelling, Ronnie O. Fail, Randy D. Fail and Deborah Fail Hair of Olar; sister, Juanita Fail Creech of Barnwell; half-sisters, Mavis Bodiford and Susie Bernstel of Barnwell; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Larry Fail.
