Obituary for Carl S. Anderson Sr.
Carl S. Anderson, Sr. 92, passed away at his home Saturday, March 21, 2015. Mr. Anderson was born on August 1, 1922 in Dunbarton, SC. He was the son of the late Charlie Seabrook and Nora Cave Anderson. He retired from Shuron Company and was co-owner with his wife of Ruth's Nursery. He served in the United States Navy and was a 65 year Mason with the Barnwell Harmony Lodge #17. Mr. Anderson was an active member of Seven Pines Baptist Church where served many years as a deacon. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent and Chairman of the Board of Deacons. Graveside services will be held on Monday March 23, 2015 at 3:00PM at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery (Airport) with Rev. Mark Watford and Rev. Billy Mew officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2:30PM, Monday at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include; sons, Carl S. "Brookie" (Glynn) Anderson of Barnwell, Earl (Beth) Anderson of Williston, and Norman Anderson of Snelling, daughter Teena A. (Ronnie) Renew of Barnwell, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Moore Anderson, brother Randolph Anderson, sisters Margaret Anderson and Rebecca Gamble.
