Obituary for Caroline Fowke Richardson
Mrs. Caroline Fowke Richardson, 87, of Barnwell passed away November 30, 2013. Mrs. Richardson was born March 24, 1926 in the Boiling Springs Community of Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late Laurie C. Fowke and Mary Mercer Fowke. After working in Birmingham, AL and Augusta, GA, she married the love of her life and made Barnwell her home. She was a mother, homemaker, and member of the Barnwell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Layton Richardson, Sr., and four sisters. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport with Pastor Michael Hood officiating. The family will receive friends at Mole Funeral Home from 1-2:30 pm before the services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Barnwell United Methodist Church, PO Box 126, Barnwell SC 29812 Survivors include daughter Suzanne R. Bristol of Tallahassee, FL, and sons James "Bo Bo" (Brenda) Richardson, Jr. of Barnwell, SC, Jack (Laura) Richardson of Barnwell, SC, sisters Sue F. White of Birmingham, AL and Phyllis (Dick) Laughridge of Columbia, SC, brothers James (Margaret) Fowke of N. Augusta, SC, and Havener (Nan) Fowke of Columbia, SC, a special niece Lucille H. (Billy) Parsons of Barnwell, SC and grandchildren Lindsey E. Richardson, Brett Richardson, and Julie Richardson.
