Obituary for Cecil Laverne Amick
Cecil Laverne Amick, 74, passed away on Saturday, March 7,2020 in the Aiken Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Cecil was born in Columbia SC on January 24, 1946 and was a son of the late Roy J. Amick and Freda Hall Amick. He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic with WSRC. He retired as a staff Sargent with the SC National Guard. He was a member of the Hilda Masonic Lodge 426 and Unity Baptist Church of Blackville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 12, 2020 at 2 pm in the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Campbell, Rev. John Jerkins and Rev. Brian Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport with Masonic Rites accorded. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Mole Funereal Home.
Survivors include his loving wife, Bennie Mae Still Amick of Barnwell; his daughter Kim Amick Hair (Scotty Richardson) of Williston, grandsons, Will and Mason Hair. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry J. Amick and Dwight Amick
