Obituary for Charles B. Grubbs
Charles B. Grubbs,72, passed away on Friday, January 28,2022 at Select Specialties Hospital, Augusta Georgia.
Charles was born in Barnwell County on September 21,1949 and was a son of the later Frank an Salley Gilliam Grubbs. He was a retired Heavy Crane Operator and a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1,2022 at 2pm in the Seven Pines Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Watford officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the services in the church. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell is assisting the family.
Survivors include his loving wife Betty Steed Grubbs; sons, Edward (Teresa) Grubbs and Walter (Lisa) Grubbs; sister, Irene Grubbs Padgett of Hampton; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Junior Grubbs, Franklin Grubbs, Jake Grubbs, Leroy Grubbs, Rose Sanders, Annie Lou Kinard and Elizabeth “Lib” Sanders.
