Charles Parker Allen, 85, passed away November 26, 2020 in Augusta, GA
Charles was born May 5, 1935 in Barnwell County, SC to the late Charles T. and Virginia Alberta Fields Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. ARMY. He was a retired SRP Training Manager where he worked for 39 years. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Choir Director, and Sound System Operator for many years. He loved photography, woodwork, and was a whiz with a computer.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 3:00PM in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Epperson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family request all attending to wear blue jeans.
Parker was survived by a son Tommy Allen of Barnwell, daughter Lisa (Gregg) Allen Lydick of Columbia, grandchildren, Derrick Searson, Summer Allen, Brad Allen, and Justin Allen, Jennifer Lydick, and Matthew Lydick, sister Beverley Allen Rimes of Kline, and Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Carolyn Driggers Allen.
