Obituary for Charles Warren Taylor, Jr.
Charles Warren Taylor Jr., 94, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at his home in Olar, SC.
Charles was born in New Jersey on March 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Charles Warren Taylor, Sr. and Rose Sidebottom Taylor. He was A retired NAVY Veteran and retired from Westinghouse as a Machine Operator. He also owned and operated the Taylor Christmas Tree Farm in Olar, SC. Charles was a member of the Olar First Baptist Church where he took on many tasks for a number of years. He was also a member of Ornan Masonic Lodge in Bamberg, SC.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 5:00PM in the Olar First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Hutto officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery. The family will greet guests at 4:00PM on Monday at the Church.
Charles is survived by a son, Charles Warren (Wylene) Taylor, III of Twin City, GA, a son-in-law, Rodney Morris of Hilda, SC, grandchildren, Hope (Kevin) Moore, Jessica (Josh) Black, Rodney Morris, and Patti (Steven) Grey, great grandchildren, Justin Moore, Josie Grace Black, Kaylee Moore, Maggie Black and Case Black. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Alma Sanders Taylor, A daughter, Wanda T. Morris, granddaughter, Lacy Danielle Taylor, and 6 brothers and sisters.
