Obituary for Charlie E. Dixon
Charlie E. Dixon 88 passed away on January 29,2017 at his home.
Mr. Dixon was born in Glascock County Georgia a son of the late Hubert and Zulene Williams Dixon. He was a retired employee of the Savannah River Plant with 33 years service. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday February 1,2017 at Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Regency Hospice of the charity of one’s choice.
Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Dixon “Frankie”Bennett of Lexington; daughter in law, Karen S. Dixon of Brevard NC. Niece and nephews raised by Mr. and Mrs. Dixon, J.L. Thompson,Donnie Thompson, John Kenny Thompson and Kathy Thompson Shaw; grandchildren, Shawn Hazel, Debbie Barney, Dedra Clark, Damon Dixon, Daren Dixon and Donya Jacobs. He was predeceased by his wife, Darthie B. Dixon, son, Wendell Dixon , nephew Sam Thompson. The family would like to thank Regency Hospice and Circxle of Love Caregivers for the love and care shown Mr. Dixon during his illness.
