Obituary for Chlotilde Still Fail
Emily Chlotilde Fail, 90, of Olar SC was carried into the arms of Jesus on April 19, 2018. She was born in Barnwell County to Charlie Aiken and Azilee Gunnells Still on June 19, 1927. Chlotilde and Charles Fail were married for 37 years. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, caregiver and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and church. She was lovingly known by her family and friends as “Mammy”. “Mammy” loved quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She was known in the community as prayer warrior. She was extremely proud of her 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Memorial Baptist Church with Revs. Jody Jackson, Marshall Still and Charles Mosier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Brenda McKesson of Greenwood SC, Lester (Shirley) Fail of Barnwell SC, Marlene (Ronnie) Elkins of Olar SC, Yvonne (Wayne) Birt of Olar SC, Mickey Fail and Ricky Fail of Olar SC, 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Mack Vernon Fail, brother, C.A. Still, sister, Patsy Harrison and son-in-law Jim McKesson.
