Obituary for Clyde Raymond Folk
Reverend Clyde Raymond Folk (Raymond), age 79 passed away in September, 5th 2020 in University Hospital Augusta Ga. Born in Bamberg County on February 19th 1941 he was the son of the late Walter & Eloise Folk.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Florence Folk of Barnwell, SC. His sons Timothy (Joann) Folk of Olar, SC; Roger (Sheila) Folk of Barnwell, SC; Daughter Tamatha Folk of Barnwell, SC. Grandsons Jason Folk (Kristen Wiles) of Jacksonville, Fl; Justin (Megan) Folk of Williston, SC, and Jameson (Jodie) Folk of Ridgeland, SC. Great-Grandchildren: Hutson Folk, Breed Folk, EllaKay Folk and Harper Folk. Sister, Betty Folk Ginn of Estill, SC. He was predeceased by brothers Julias Sims Folk and Walter Douglas Folk.
Ordained into the ministry in 1981, Raymond was the Pastor of Barnwell First Assembly of God for over 3 years. He was also an associate pastor at various churches throughout Barnwell and Bamberg counties until his death. He started a nursing home ministry which he led for over 20 years. Raymond also worked in various industries across Barnwell County and was Owner/Operator of Folk’s plumbing until his retirement.
Raymond loved God, His Word, and loved to fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ.
He loved his family and was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Due to the current pandemic a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family.
