Obituary for Cynthia Huffmyer Trussell
Cynthia Lynn Huffmyer Trussell, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014. Mrs. Trussell was born on August 1, 1954 in Rochester PA. She was the daughter of Sidney and Marjorie Parker Huffmyer. A 1976 graduate of Clarion State University in Clarion PA., she taught science and social studies for 26 years at Guinyard-Butler Middle School in Barnwell SC. She was a member of the SC Education Association and received a State Science Teachers Award. She was a member of Ghents Branch Baptist Church and a past church secretary. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Ghents Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Petty officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Barnwell Animal Advocates, or to Ghents Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Trussell is survived by her husband Calvin Fuller Trussell of Barnwell; her mother, Marjorie Parker Huffmyer of Monaca PA; her sister Deborah Huffmyer of Saxonburg PA; sister in law, Paula Bailey of Orangeburg, SC; brothers and sisters in law; Ward and Sharon Trussell of Woodbridge, VA, Gene and Mary Nell Trussell of Lexington, SC, Donny and Etta Trussell of Orangeburg, SC, many nieces and nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her father and brother, George William Huffmyer, II.
