David THE Mosier, passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 60 at Aiken County Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on March 5, 1964, in Fort Benning, GA, and most recently lived in Graniteville, SC.
David was a man of simple pleasures. He often found peace and happiness in fishing, listening to Elvis Presley, working on cars, or watching NASCAR. David was an auto mechanic by trade and really enjoyed it as it allowed him to make many friends over the years. He took pride in his work and found fulfillment in fixing cars and helping others, especially his family. Because above all, David cherished his family, and nothing brought him greater happiness than the love and laughter they shared.
David is preceded in death by his dad Robert Mosier, his mom Betty Mosier Priester, and his brother, Bobby Mosier.
With his passing David leaves behind his beautiful wife Edie Mosier, whom he loved and cherished and who was always by his side.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children: David (Britney) Mosier, Jr of Crosshill SC, Stacey Mosier of Vancouver WA, Tracey (Travis) Morehead of Barnwell SC, Nick (Melanie) Mosier of Blackville SC, Jonathon (Autumn) Grubbs of Gastonia NC, April (Phillip) Sparks of Auburn Al, Josh Grubbs of the home, Brian Mitchum of Warrenville SC, Frank L. Mitchum of Warrenville SC and Bobby Mitchum of Graniteville SC, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles Mosier of North SC, Joseph (Cydne) Mosier of Gaffney SC, Karl (Kathy) Mosier of Clinton SC, Sabrina Mosier of Warrenville SC, Melissa (Rocky) Rockhold of Aiken SC and 23 grandkids and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to his immediate family, David leaves behind countless cousins, friends and extended family members who will deeply miss his craziness, his generous spirit, and unwavering love.
David’s love for NASCAR will forever be remembered, especially #24. Did we mention he loved Elvis, his 57 Chevy, his wife Edie and his children and grandchildren?
David would not want us to mourn his passing but he’d rather us celebrate the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind. He always seemed to bring laughter to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held this Friday, May 31st at Mole Funeral Home in Barnwell SC. The family will receive friends and family at 1pm at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel followed by a brief celebration of life at 2pm.
