Obituary for Doris Jordan Penwell
Doris Jordan Penwell, 77, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Williston SC. Mrs. Penwell was born in Horry County on February 18, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Hattie McDowell Jordan. She was predeceased by her husband, Jutson Penwell and brothers, Eugene, Dean and Russell Jordan. She was employed by Shuron Inc for over 30 years and retired as an inspector with Sara Lee Manufacturing. She was a member of the Seven Pines Baptist Church and the Laura Love Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, Nanna and sister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the Seven Pines Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Watford and Rev. Billy Mew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Mole Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 Jefferson St., Barnwell SC., or to the charity of your choice. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Dianne and Ricky Jackson of Barnwell; grandsons, Charles Jackson of Barnwell and Nikki (Nichole) Jackson of Aiken; great grandchildren, Avian, Saylor and Tanner Jackson, Gavin and Carson O'Grady and Logan Rogers; brothers, James Jordan of Macon Ga and Daniel Jordan of St. Augustine FL; sisters, Sarah Brockington of Burnettetown, Carol Bloodworth of Milledgeville Ga, Linda Sanford of Milledgeville Ga, Iris Oswald of Savannah Ga and Connie Chaffin of Gainesville Fl.
