Obituary for Edward Dewitt Zorn
Edward Dewitt Zorn, 80, of Barnwell, SC passed away at his home on July 21st, 2025. He was born on April 9th, 1945 to the late Charles Edward Zorn and Zera Hair Zorn.
Dewitt was a member of the Barnwell Church of Christ, and served in the Army National Guard. He also served on the Barnwell County Council. He retired as a Railroad Engineer for SRS. He loved fishing and hunting, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel McKerly Zorn; son Leo (Dana) Zorn; as well as his grandchildren Charley Zorn, Connor Zorn, Collin Zorn, and Keely Urwick. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Violet Dozier, Florrie Hook, and Barbara Adams.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barnwell Church of Christ, with a memorial service following in the church at 3:00 PM. Graveside will be held at the Barnwell County Memorial (Airport) Cemetery.
