Obituary for Edward Wayne Beasley
Edward Wayne Beasley, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Born November 12, 1930 in Frostproof, FL, he was the son of the late Harold and Gertie Beasley. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Jean Youngblood Beasley.
Edward attended Barnwell Highschool, where he was a star athlete. He excelled in all three sports, football, baseball and basketball. He was a US NAVY veteran of the Korean War. He retired from E.I. Dupont, Savannah River Siter after 36 years of service as a Senior Reactor Operator. He was a big Carolina Gamecock and Barnwell Warhorse football fan. He was an avid golfer where he won several Sweetwater Country Club golf championships. He was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord. He was a devoted loving and kind husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Eddie (Sherry) Beasley, Brian Beasley, Brad Beasley and Caroline (Chuck) Randall, grandchildren, Trey (Joye Hallman) Beasley, Bryan Randall, Jamie Randall and Brandon H. Beasley, and a brother Roger Beasley. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Roy Beasley.
A family graveside service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 3:00PM in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bart Kelley officiating.
