Obituary for Evelyn Bessinger Cook
Evelyn Bessinger Cook, 88, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Pruitt Health of Aiken.
Evelyn was born on November 15, 1928 in Statesboro Ga. She was a daughter of the late William and Bertha Holst Bessinger. She was a retired officer with the Barnwell County Detention Center. She was a member of Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Tim Gunnells and Ken Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include her sons, Bennie Cook and Robert (Annameta) Cook of Barnwell SC, Paul (Cibeth) Cook of Port Charlotte Fl., and Ronnie (Patti) Cook of Vero Beach Fl.; daughter, Charlene (Ralph) Bridges of Macon Ga; brothers, Bubba Bessinger, James (Cheryl) Bessinger, Gene (Irene) Bessinger of Barnwell SC and Jimmy (Debra) Bessinger of South Congaree SC.; sisters Willie Jean B. Freeman, Jeanette Brant and Linda (Julian) Baxley of Barnwell SC.; 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
