Farrell Truman Ray Sr., 77, of Olar, SC passed away March 1st, 2025.
Mr. Ray was born on July 2nd, 1947 in Barnwell, SC to the late James Earnest Ray and Mary Elizabeth Cope Ray.
His life was a beautiful reflection of God's light. He was a faithful servant to the Lord with a strong mission of calling on all to be saved. He had a kind heart and always helped those in need.
After serving in the South Carolina Army National Guard Company B 122nd Engineer Battalion, he was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal. He retired from Milliken, and was a retired South Carolina DNR LEO Deputy. He was the Pastor of Allen's Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Allen's Chapel Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jim Parnell is officiating.
Farrell is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Woodward Ray, children, Farrell "Bucky" Truman Ray, Jr. (Delisa), Melissa W. Black (James); grandchildren, Farrell Thomas Ray (Kadie), Christopher Allen Ray (Lily), Taylor Yvonne Ray, Winton Phillip Ray, (Diana Michelle), Trevor Garrett Black (Katy), Michael Sheldon Black; great-grandchildren Farrell David Joshua Ray, TJ Ray, Aubry Allen Ray, Issac Clark Ray, Gabriel Elijah Ray; brothers Graham Ray (Rita), Earnest Albert Ray (Patsy), and Wayne Ray (Donna) and his beloved Chorkie, "Sissie".
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Phillip Ray, brothers, Murrell Ray, Timothy Cope Ray, Sr., James Robert Ray, Anthony Steven Ray, sister Anna Sue Cavelo.
Pallbearers will be Farrell Thomas Ray, Christopher Allen Ray, Andrew Ray, James C. Black, Trevor G. Black, and Michael S. Black.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allen's Chapel Baptist Church.
