Obituary for George Still
George Still, 81, went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Providence Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
George was born on February 17, 1936 in Barnwell County. He was a son of the late Wash and Bertie Croft Still. He retired from Milliken Inc. with 34 years’ service and was a farmer. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mount Lebanon Christian Church with Rev. Ron Franklin, Rev. Wayne Bodiford and Rev. Jeffery Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann Ray Still of Barnwell; daughter, Joyce Still Gunnells (John) of Barnwell; sons Gregg Still and Wyman Still of Barnwell; sister Helen Still Hutto of Blackville; brothers, Jackie Baxley (Betty Jean) and Julian Baxley (Linda) of Barnwell; grandchildren, Amber Gunnells Magee (Charles) and Bradley Gunnells. He was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Black, Louise Steed, and Lucille Baxley; brothers, Leroy, Romey, Jimmy, Ralph and Clifford Still.
