Mrs. Georgia Foy Fields, age 89, wife of the late Roy Fields Sr., passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mary Schumpert Foy and John Watkins Foy. She was predeceased by brothers John Jacob Foy and Harry Lee Foy Sr., and sister, Ann Foy Moore. She also was predeceased by one great grandchild, Oliver Large.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Mike Roberts of St. George; son and daughter-in-law Roy Jr. and Lisa Fields of Aiken; grandchildren: Stephanie Roberts (Keith) Murray of Harleyville; Silas (Kylee) Roberts of Summerville; Matthew (Ashley) Fields of Lexington; Seth (Tina) Fields of Harrison, TN; Chelsea (Andrew) Large of Aiken; Haley and Clay Griggs of Aiken; and great-grandchildren Levi Roberts, Alex Roberts, Natalee Fields, Rowan Fields, Sawyer Fields, Casen Murray, Cayden Burkhart, Caleb Griggs, Everton Large, Lawton Large, Trenton Gilbert, and Ashlyn Gilbert; and sister-in-laws, Margie Foy and Frances Hudson.
Mrs. Fields was born in Saluda, SC, but had lived in Barnwell County since an early age. She retired from Allied-General Nuclear Services and Honeywell as Office Services Manager and then Site Administrator at their Barnwell facility. Mrs. Fields was an active member of First Baptist Church in Barnwell, and loved serving in the ministries of the church. She was also a supporter of the Barnwell County Arts Council, having served on the Board and as Treasurer for a number of years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In 2020, Roy and Georgia moved to Cumberland Village in Aiken, a senior retirement community.

Services for Mrs. Fields will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Barnwell, SC with interment in Barnwell Memory Gardens. Rev. Dr. Bart Kelley will officiate. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barnwell First Baptist Church, 161 Allen Street, Barnwell, SC 29812; or the Barnwell County Arts Council, P. O. Box 1606, Barnwell, SC 29812; or to a favorite charity.
