Obituary for Gerald Thomas Hill
Gerald Thomas Hill 91, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2017.
Mr. Hill was born on August 3, 1926 in Royston Georgia. He was a son of the late Paul and Vallie Scarboro Hill. He was a navy veteran of WWII where he served on the USS Walsh and retired from the Savannah River Plant, Health Physics Department. He was a hardworking man of many talents, an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery near the airport. The family will receive friends at Mole Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 am until 10:45 am.
Survivors include his wife, Daviese D. Hill of Barnwell, son and daughter in law, Walter G and Renee Hill of San Antonio TX.; daughter and son in law, Ann and S.R. Thompson of Barnwell; grandchildren, Amanda Ann (Josh) Myers and Christopher Selwyn (Laura) Thompson; great grandchildren, Madison Myers and Harper Thompson. He was predeceased by a brother, Alvin Olin Hill and sisters, Mildred McAlister and Erlene Richardson.
