Obituary for Gertrude Zorn Grubbs
Gertrude Zorn Grubbs, 80, passed away on Thursday in Augusta Ga. Gertrude was born on December 6, 1932 in Barnwell SC. She was the daughter of the late Bennie Zorn and the late Kathleen Zorn Cling. She was a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin Grubbs Sr., daughter, Kathy Abbott and sisters, Amelia Moody and Joan Reece. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Seven Pines Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Mew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening at Mole Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte (Ray) Swetman of North Augusta and Judy (Danny) Mishoe of Barnwell; son, Franklin "Bubba" (Shelia) Grubbs of Barnwell; son in law, Ronnie Abbott of Barnwell; brother, WC Cling of Cope; 13 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, 6 step children. The family would like to thank Agape Hospice of Augusta for their kind and loving care shown to their mother.
