Obituary for Glenn Alvin Hughes
Glenn Alvin Hughes age 61, of Barnwell, SC passed away April, 28, 2021 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, SC .
Mr. Hughes was born on September 25, 1959 in Barnwell, SC, the youngest son of Mead H and Gladys Bobb Hughes.
He retired from Bouchillon Body Shop, Barnwell, SC where he had worked for many years. Glenn loved watching football and visiting with his many friends and was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Survivors include sisters Sybil (Ronnie) Horton, Alsa Sanders, Debra (Carlton) Lemmond all of Barnwell, SC. Lena (Joel) Kerby, Athens, Al and brother Raymond Hughes, Tuscaloosa, Al, nieces, Lisa Collins, Joni Dial, Kristy McKinney, nephews, Stephen Still, Casey Horton, Shaw Lemmond, Erik Lemmond, David Connor & a special grandnephew Russell Still. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Velvie Connor and a niece Karli Lemmond DeLoache.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 30, 2021, at 11:00AM at the Barnwell United Methodist Church Cemetery on Hagood Avenue, Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Merge Debt Fund c/o Barnwell First Baptist Church 161 Allen Street, Barnwell, SC. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell is assisting the family.
