Obituary for Gwetholyn Dorine Gunnells Hernandez
Gwetholyn Dorine Gunnells Hernandez, 51, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 19, 2015, in Gray Court SC. She was born on June 17, 1963 in Aiken SC. She was the daughter of David and Peggy Gunnells and the late Rebie Scoggins Gunnells. She graduated from Blackville-Hilda High School in Blackville SC. She was a member of Double Pond Baptist Church. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her parents of Blackville SC, three children, Lindsey Smith of Gray Court SC, Jose' Hernandez of Ft. Lewis Army Base, Tacoma, Washington and Victoria Hernandez of the College of Charleston , Charleston SC; brothers, Dean (Ruth) Gunnells of Barnwell SC, Perry (Bridgitte) Gunnells of Aiken SC, Timmy (Cathy) Hartzog of Orangeburg SC; sisters Belinda Hartzog Hutchens of Blackville SC, Angel Gunnells Thompson of Gaston SC and sister in law Blanca Gunnells of Charleston SC, and a friend, Alice Mahon, Lindsey's grandmother of Gray Court. She was preceded in death by her mother Rebie Gunnells and three brothers, Scotty Hartzog, Brian Gunnells and David Anthony Gunnells Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at_2:00PM at Double Pond Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mole Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery Fund for Double Pond Baptist Church, 357 Double Pond Road, Blackville SC 29817.
