Obituary for Hazle Gibson Burley
Hazle Gibson Burley passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the John E. Harter Nursing Home in Fairfax, S.C. at the age of 95. Born in Greenwood, Arkansas on February 23, 1922 she was the daughter of Franklin and Ada Gibson. Mrs. Burley was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother, and her loving husband of 50 years, Samuel T. Burley, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter Vikki Burley Scott, son-in-law Henry Collum Scott, one granddaughter Kimberli C. Scott, 3 nieces Barbara P. Shawen, Roseann R. Cochcroft, Veronica R. Burkett, a nephew Ronny L. Payton (Paulette), and many many granddogs and grandcats.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Animal Advocates P.O. Box 1924 Barnwell, S.C. or to Allendale Correctional Institution Character Restoration Initiative (CRI) P.O. Box 104 Allendale, S.C. 29810.
