Obituary for Henry Clay Morris Jr.
Henry Clay Morris Jr., 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Mr. Morris was born in Bamberg County on September 19, 1931. He was the son of the late Henry Clay Morris Sr. and Eloise Collins Morris. He was a graduate of Clemson University and retired as a foreman with Union Camp Corp. He was US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was member of the Lions Club and a member of the Olar First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Olar First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Hutto and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the Olar, First Baptist Church, PO Box 127, Olar, SC 29843 or Pruitt Health Home Health, 755 Whitman St. SE Orangeburg SC 29115. Survivors include his son, Henry Stephen Morris of Olar; daughters, Wendy Renee Tucker of Townville SC, Paula Kaye (Harry) Hall of Anderson SC and Phyllis Gaye (Greg) Burdett of Iva SC; Sister Nell M. (Walter) O'Rear of Olar.
