Obituary for Herbert Bernard Creech Sr.
Herbert Bernard Creech Sr., 75, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bernard was born on September 27, 1940 in Barnwell SC. He was a son of the late Herbert Woodrow and Nellie Riley Creech. He was a retired salesman with Williams Farm and Garden, a member of the Reedy Branch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for a number of years and taught the Youth Sunday School Class for over 48 years and served in the SC National Guard. He was a man of many talents, an avid fisherman and carpenter. Bernard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Reedy Branch Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Reedy Branch Baptist Church Building Fund, 411 Reedy Branch Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812 Survivors include his wife, Betty Cope Creech of Barnwell; son, Herbert Bernard Creech Jr. of Barnwell, daughters, Audra (Byron) Brown of Barnwell, Nelsa (Alex) Nobles of Barnwell; sister, Joan (Dean) Hartzog of Barnwell; brothers, David (Barbara) Creech of Cumming Ga. and Steve (Karen) Creech of Barnwell; grandchildren, Trent Creech, Jordan Brown, Kelci Brown, Lauren Nobles and Trevor Nobles.
