Obituary for James Allen Williams
James Allen Williams, 92, passed away on Monday, October 11,2021 at his residence.
James was born in Jenkins County, Georgia on September 9, 1929. He was a son of the late Thomas and Ida Dickey Williams. He retired from the Savannah River Plant K Area Operations. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to take his family fishing on the Savannah River. He served in the United States Army and was huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He especially loved his Lord and Savior.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021 in the Barnwell Co Memorial Cemetery at the airport with Rev. Bert Baynham officiating. The family will receive guest following the service at the cemetery.
Survivors includes his daughters, Kathy (Wayne) Grubbs, Cindy (Oneal) Still and Angie (Richard) Kennedy; grandchildren, Chris Grubbs, Travis ( Jennifer) Grubbs Josh Grubbs, Nichole Zorn Michala (Joey) Chavis, Alan (Angel) Kennedy and Matthew Kennedy; great grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Aubrey and Reed Grubbs; C.J. (Christina) Zorn, Lindsey Zorn; Annaleigh, Weslynn , and Pennley Kennedy; sister, Vera W. Stanfil. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jewel J. Williams.
The family wished to thank Nuclear Care Partners and Regency Hospice especially Nicole Hoffman, Sharon Belcher , Sharon Davis, Stacey Catoe, and others too numerous to name for the loving care shown to their father.
