Obituary for James Hugh Plunk
James Hugh Plunk, 86, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 5, 1937, to the late Warren Hugh and Laura Odean Plunk, he was a retired supervisor from Burlington Industries. Mr. Plunk served in the United States NAVY.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM in Seven Pines Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Altman and Pastor Mark Watford officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Mr. Plunk is survived by his wife; Mary Lee Rountree Plunk; daughter Beverly Ann Plunk; grandchildren Gregory Lee Prather, Haley Lauren Prather, Jacqueline Birchmore, Brad Cochran, Danielle Moncrieft, and Katelyn Cochran; great grandchildren Channing Moncrieft, Silas Moncrieft, and Elijah Moncrieft. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debora Sue Cochran.
