Obituary for James "Jim" Bennie Gillam Jr.
James Bennie Gillam Jr, also known as Jim, Grandpap and
Pa Pa, 83 of Olar South Carolina traded his Cross in for a Crown on Monday night September 21, 2020 at his home.
Jim was born in Bamberg SC on March 11, 1937. He was son of the late James Bennie Gillam Sr and Mazzie Chitty Fail. Jim loved to play and sing country and Gospel music. He would give you the last shirt off his back if you need it. He was A jack of all trades. He and his wife Connie Gillam owned and operated Connie’s Alterations for many years. His trust in the Lord was what gave him the strength to always put his faith and family first.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Olar, SC, with Rev. Jody Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Mole Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
