Obituary for Jeanie Smith Hobbs
Jeanie Smith Hobbs Olar, SC Jeanie Smith Hobbs of Bamberg County passed away on March 16, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bamberg County, June 19, 1951, the chosen daughter of the late Henry Hoke Smith and Lucille Hutto Smith of Barnwell. She was of Methodist faith, a lover of animals, especially her cat Bubba, and was employed as a clerk. According to Jeanie, she lived Life to the fullest; she enjoyed every minute of it! Survivors include her husband Dwight Hobbs of the home; a sister, Jane Owens Bradley of Barnwell; a brother, Erva Lee Smith (Sue) of Harriman, Tn.; also, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Elmer C. Bodiford. Extended family members are: Nancy, Judy, Gloria, Tina, Jimmy, Pat, Ronnie, Libby, and Sherry Nix of Hampton. Special thanks to friends Sharon Creech, Helen Lou Hutson, and Rita O'Neal. Funeral service will be held at 3pm, on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Mole Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Animal Advocates, P.O.
