Obituary for Jeannette Fennell Walker
Mrs. Jeannette F. Walker, (known to her family and loved ones as Mumpsy) 84, passed away peacefully on 8/23/24 at her residence. She was born on 2/12/40 in Colleton County S.C. to Blanchard Fennell and Doris Clara Polk Fennell.
Mrs. Walker was a former textile and garment factory machinist and homemaker. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Mrs. Walker's passion was taking care of her family and friends with an enormous heart and a loving smile. Her most cherished times were family get togethers that always had plenty of conversation and food prepared for everyone to enjoy. A generous soul who always put everyone's needs in front of her own.
She is survived by her son, John Owen Walker Jr. (Kimberly) of Clarks Hill, SC; daughter Joyce McCoy (Ellis) of Beldoc, SC; brother Howard Fennell; sisters Edna Rose, Patsy Hawks, Linda Key, Violet Weathersbee, and Dottie Zielinski; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, John Owen Walker Sr.; daughter, Joenett Campbell; brothers Lonnie Fennell and Billy Fennell; as well as her sister, Laverne Fennell.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mole Funeral Home, with funeral services following in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Graveside will follow at Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery.
