Joseph Tyler “Joey” Reynolds, 28 passed away suddenly at his home in Barnwell on Monday, May 11, 2020.
Joey was born in Aiken County on January 24, 1992. He was the son of Teresa Buck of Blackville and Earl Whisenant of North Carolina. Joey was a graduate of Barnwell High School. He worked for Wades Heating and Repair Service in Barnwell. He was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Barnwell County memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. with Rev. Bart Kelley officiating. The family will greet friends after the service.
Joey loved fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He liked to get home from work and ride his ATV with his daughter. He enjoyed tinkering, fixing and working on things. He was always outgoing and friendly.
Joey is survived by his fiancé, Cheyenne Scott, and his daughter, Natalie Reynolds, of the home, his mother, Teresa Buck, of Blackville, his brother, Stephen J. Reynolds, of West Virginia, his grandfather James and Patricia Skillman and James Skillman Jr. of Florida, his uncle Vincent Chesser of Barnwell, and his grandfather Davis Carroll of Barnwell.
Joey was raised as a foster child by Raleigh and Myrtle Smoak of Barnwell, along with their children, Lee and Liz Smoak and son Richard Smoak of Barnwell, Debra Smoak (Rodney) Woodward of Appling, GA and son Keaton Woodward, Madison (Chris) Smoak Able and son Raylan, Jessica Gunnells and son, Dawson Gunnells, of Barnwell. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Carroll of Barnwell, Brian Smoak and stepfather, Ronald F. Buck
