Obituary for John Alton Grubbs
John Alton Grubbs, 49, passed away on Monday May 9, 2016 in the Aiken Regional Medical Center. John was born in Barnwell SC on June 15, 1966 and was the son of the late Christine Stanley Grubbs and Alphis Grubbs. He was a graduate of Barnwell High School and was a former employee of Sara Lee Inc. He was a member of the Barnwell Congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The family request at memorial donations be made to Mole Funeral Home, PO Box 254 Barnwell SC 29812 to help with expenses. Survivors include his wife, Janice Johnston Grubbs of Barnwell; father, Alphis Grubbs of Barnwell; step sons, John David Rhodes of Orlando Fla and Larry Rhodes of Raleigh NC; sisters, Brenda Pullins of Aiken, Sarah Louise Grubbs and Susan Ann Grubbs of Barnwell; five grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a brother Tony Grubbs.
