Obituary for John Jackson Zorn Sr.
John Jackson Zorn Sr. (Action Jackson), 72 of Olar, SC passed away on April 4th, 2024 in Aiken, SC. John was born on March 18th, 1952, in Barnwell, SC to the late Stanley B. Zorn and Sallie M. Zorn. He was a professional carpenter and loved to fish. But most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his loving children, grandchildren, greatgrands and his friends. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be missed unconditionally!!!
He is survived by his sons, John Jackson Zorn Jr., Joe Lewis Zorn, and Starling (Missy) Zorn; grandchildren Nikki (Trenton) Moore, Jonathan Martin, Savannah (Kaelin Bowers) Martin, JJ Zorn, Dawson Martin, Alicia Bender, Corrissa Zorn, Chase Zorn, Preston Joe Lewis Zorn, Dellon Jackson Zorn, Tori Bellamy, Nick Sanders, Ashton Sanders, Jacob Sanders, and Justin Sanders; great-grandchildren Aubree, Brylee, Clayton, Kingsleigh, Icelynn, Zane, Braelin, Raileigh, Kinsley, Coastlynn, and Neaveah; brothers Tony Zorn Sr., Leon (Sallie) Zorn, and Hank (Patty) Zorn; sisters Iris Still, Vangie Elkins, Lois (Richard) Rudd, Ann (Steve) Pitsos, and sister-in-law, Linda Zorn.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rudd Zorn; daughter Mary Marie Zorn; son Preston Scott Zorn; brothers Jerry Stanley Zorn Sr., Charles Perry Zorn Sr., Aubrey Hazel Zorn, Donnie Michael Zorn, Oscar Zorn, and brother-in-law, Glenn Elkins Sr.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Mole Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mole Funeral Home, with graveside to follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Steve Pitsos will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Bearden, David Weeks, Leon Zorn Jr., Matthew Still, Jason Still, and Rick Rudd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Andrew Still, Justin Still, Jyme Still, and Dallas Zorn.
