West Palm Beach, FL - Laura Louise Bailey Garner, 93, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on January 21, 1924, and grew up in Florida. Laura moved to Barnwell in 1958, where she raised her family of five children, and retired from Shuron, Inc., after more than 20 years. She was baptized at Mt. Lebanon Christian Church and attended the First Baptist Church in her last decades in Barnwell. During her almost 50 years here, Laura was blessed with the friendship and support of many, many wonderful Barwell residents, young and old alike. After returning to live in Florida in 2007, she enjoyed continuing correspondence with these cherished friends.
Laura is survived by three sons, Charles (Renee) McHugh, Danny (Cathy) Garner, Steven (Lynne) Garner; one daughter, Candice (Chris) Cavaleri; and seven grandchildren, Laura Garner, Ashley Garner, Stephanie Garner, Ryan Garner, Sam Cavaleri, Angela McHugh, and Anna Louise Cavaleri. She was predeceased by a son, Bill, and two sisters, Pat Harper and Betty Rowland.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Barnwell County Memory Gardens with Rev. Ken Catoe officiating, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mole Funeral Home.
