Obituary for Lenton P. Pearson, Sr.
Lenton Preston Pearson, Sr., 85 passed away at his home in Barnwell on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Mr. Pearson was born on November 5, 1928 in Portsmith, OH. He was the son of the late Earl Monroe Pearson, Sr. and Hilda Castle Bryant. He was predeceased by wives, Evelyn H. Pearson and Lucile B. Pearson. He was in the US ARMY during the Korean Conflict, a retired Produce manager with Big Star Grocery, and attended Reedy Branch Baptist Church for over 30 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00AM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Gideon's Bible Fund or Reedy Branch Baptist Church. 411 Reedy Branch Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812. Mole funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include son, Lenton Preston "LP" (Tanya) Pearson Jr. of Trenton, GA, daughters Debra P. (Tommy) Smoak and Diane P. (Amos) Snider of Barnwell, brother, Earl M. Pearson, Jr. of Savannah, sister, Betty Gunter of Barnwell, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
