Obituary for Lois Black Sanders
Lois Black Sanders, 96, of Barnwell, SC passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends on October 13th, 2024. She was born on April 3rd, 1928 to the late Milledge and Ellen Carter Black. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved gardening and working in her flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Sanders Hood; grandson Mac (Tabitha) Sanders; great-grandchildren JohnLuke Sanders and Dre Sanders; and son-in-law, Bobby Hood. She is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Henry Sanders; son Franklin Sanders; brother Ralph Black; and sister, Helen Hightower.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mole Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Pat Hightower officiating. Graveside will be held in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Mrs. Sander’s caregiver, Suzanne Renew. In lieu of flowers, donations may me made to Ashleigh Baptist Church of Blackville, SC, or Rosemary Baptist Church of Williston, SC.
