Obituary for Loretta Fail
Loretta Fail, 82, passed away on September 17th, 2025. She was born on August 7th, 1943 to the late Henry Fail Jr. and Anna Fail. She was a loving Mama, Maw Maw, and Sister.
Loretta Loved to play Skip Bo and find unique treasures at thrift stores. She loved to give and made sure her family always came first. Her love for all animals was something to be admired and if she could have fed all of the strays she surely would have. The love of her life was her dog, Cash, who returned her love and was her great protector. Her memory will be cherished always and forever. Everyone who met her loved her. I would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Medi Home Health and Hospice for being so compassionate and caring to our beloved Mama.
She is survived by her son; Al (Tammy) Ray; daughter Missy Ray (Chuck) Cook; sister Joyce James; nieces Devonne Dempsey and Robin Still; nephew Randy Still; grandsons Matthew (Kaitlyn) Abercrombie, Michael Ray, Michael McAndrew, Gabriel McAndrew, Jeffery (Nikki) Chavis, Preston Chavis, and Dylan Leggett; granddaughter Raven (Duffy) Stone; great-grandchildren Ben Hughes, Lee Abercrombie, McDuffie Stone, Hunter Chavis, Paige Abercrombie, Lily Ray, Skyler Chavis, Melania Chavis, Preslynn Chavis, Isabelle Chavis, and Emersyn Chavis.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Fail; daughter Libby Ray; grandson Lee Hughes; and niece Tammy James.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 21st, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Epperson officiating.
