Obituary for Mamie Still Sanders
Mamie Lee Still Sanders, 87, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Mamie was born in Barnwell County on February 21, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Bunyan and Lizzie Dyches Still. She was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church. She was known as a nurse without a degree for her family and others and also for her love of shelling peas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and friend. A woman with a sweet, sweet spirit, she will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11 am in the Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Warren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at Mole Funeral Home and 10 am Wednesday until the hour of services.
Survivors include her children, Joyce (Larry) Guffy and Samuel Sanders; grandchildren Tracie (Kevin) Dobson, Allison (Dwight) Jenkins, Janet (Doug) Weathers; great grandchildren, Caden (Karmyn) Cardwell, Easton (Leigh) Weathers, Dean Jenkins, Cameron Dobson, Kenneth Dobson and Walker Weathers, sister Nita Still Zissette and brothers Bobby (Sara) Still and Alvin Still, Caregivers Ruth Peeples and Judy Fisher. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Sam Sanders, and siblings, Gertrude Still, James, Dodson, Gross Lee, Russell and Lennie “Pete” Still.
