Obituary for Mary Bodiford Keel
Mrs. Mary Bodiford Keel 83 passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Mrs. Keel was born in Bamberg County on April 3, 1932. She was a daughter of the late Floyd B. Bodiford Sr. and Arie Croft Bodiford. Mrs. Keel was a bookkeeper with the Barnwell Peanut Co.for many years and the State Farm Insurance business with her husband of 64 years. She continued her booking for their business until a few years ago she loved to cook and bake and spend time with her family. She loved shopping and traveling with her husband and friends. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren as they always made her smile. She was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 3 pm in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Richardson and Rev. Ken Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Hair Cemetery off of Hwy 37 Williston SC. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:30 until 2:45. Memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, 810 Maxwell Ave. Greenwood SC 29646. Survivors include her husband, Jack Keel; sons, Harold (Tricia) Keel and Mark (Jeri) Keel; grandchildren, Amanda (Brent) Cobb, Caroline (Jonathan) Younts, Will Keel and Cody Keel; great grandchildren, Aden, Jax and Mary Cohen Cobb. She was predeceased by sisters, Alma Birt and Thelma Carroll and brothers, Horry, MacLauren, Freddie, Earnell, Calhoun, Herman, Billy and Floyd (Jr.) Bodiford.
