Obituary for Mary T. Rains
Hilda SC A memorial service for Mary T. Rains, 99,will be held at 5 pm Wednesday, November 13,2013 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel, Barnwell, SC. A graveside service will be held later in Talaquaha Oklahoma. Aunt Mary as she was affectionately known passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013, surrounded by and in the arms of her loved ones. She was born in Cherokee County Oklahoma on February 23,1914. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ellen Tarepen. She was a homemaker, a good fisherwoman, a great cook and loved life. She took part in all family activities. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oklahoma and a Presbyterian. Survivors include nephew, Francis M. Terrapin of Walterboro SC, a niece, Felicia (Travis) Neal of Hilda SC and a host of other nieces and nephews (great, great-great, and great-great-great) in Oklahoma, Texas and California. She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
